Club Photo and Video Usage Guidelines

Oxenhope Juniors Football Club may take and use photographs and video footage of players during club activities, including training sessions, matches, tournaments, presentation events and other club events.

Images and video may be used to celebrate, promote and record the activities of the club. This may include use on the club website, club social media pages, newsletters, match reports, posters, presentations, local press articles and other club publicity.

The club will only use images and video in an appropriate and respectful way. Images should show children taking part in football-related activity and should not be embarrassing, inappropriate or open to misuse.

The club will not publish a child’s personal contact details alongside any image. Where names are used, the club will avoid including unnecessary personal information and will take care not to identify a child in a way that could create a safeguarding risk.

The club will not take photographs or video in changing rooms, toilets or other private areas.

Where consent has not been given, the club will make reasonable efforts not to use identifiable images of that child. However, children may occasionally appear in the background of wider group, match or event images.

If the club becomes aware of any family, care, legal or safeguarding reason why a child’s image should not be used, the club will take reasonable steps to avoid taking or publishing identifiable images of that child.

Parents/carers can withdraw consent at any time by contacting the club. If consent is withdrawn, the club will stop using new images of that child and will take reasonable steps to remove existing images from club-controlled platforms where practical. The club may not always be able to remove images that have already been shared by third parties, published in print, or circulated outside the club’s control.

Any concerns about the use of photographs or video should be reported to the Club Welfare Officer or another appropriate club official.
